Here you will find my personal resources and tips for learning Japanese, and some other fun stuff too if we're lucky.

I started learning Japanese in September 2004, enrolling in a beginners' evening class at Goldsmiths College, University of London. It's something of a return to my youth, as 20 years ago I took a degree in Oriental Studies (Chinese Studies) at the University of Durham. Desperate not to fail as an oldie has-been, I'm applying in earnest some of the techniques I learnt as a proper student.

So the content of the site will no doubt develop over time, in line with my own learning progress.
